I've never been a Haken fan, for me They were totally inaudible and boring, although I hear a lot of people saying they are awesome, but not for me until their last EP.. Haken → Restoration is something that goes above and beyond, one kind of pearl in too many oysters, for those who like progressive music with a complex theme, this is the EP!

Black Fate

If Roy was still in Kamelot I would say, omg.,. that's just another copycat, to Hell with these guys! But He's not, C'mon! I can't say I like these guys only because they sound great, but Vasilis Georgiou makes this great difference. I would say this album is one of the best of the year, fucking awesome!

I started to like them after they released their Self Portrait EP. What surprises me about Aeon Zen is this ability to change and becoming something really awesome and enjoyable, sometimes they sound Djent (The Entity), Symphonic (Rebuild The Ruins), progressive, metal!

I really did not know anything about Triosphere, but I needed to know about that great female voice who was singing with Tom Englund on the latest Epysode album, omg The new Triosphere album not only brings the great Ida Haukland, but all set, riffs, it really impresses, besides sometimes it relly reminds Classic Metal mixed with Power, awesome!

MindMaze

I did not know these guys and learning about them was an enjoyable surprise..usually I don't like too much sweetness in some songs I listen to, but in this album Sarah Teets's voice is greatly combined with the great instrumental work and also Michael LePond (Symphony X) contributes with his remarkable bass playing.

Hymns for the Broken

I think the more I listen to this album the more I get it... I cannot say it's better or not than their previous album, but Hymns for the Broken has something strong in itself, it's a kind of album u must listen to it more than once, besides the lyrics are great, the vibe is perfect, the instrumental as well, and Tom's voice is something magically great.

I've never been a Threshold fan, They are really great musicians, they are really part of this prog world, but there was something about their previous albums I didn't get so well, probably I was not prepared to that, anyway.. their new album is really tight, heavy, with great guitar work and also Damian voice is great to be heard, awesome!

The first thing that came to my mind when I heard the new Contortionist album was.. oh my.. that really could've been the new Cynic album, because it's really something that Cynic could've done, but anyway this new album is atmospheric, with great vocal works, and indeed it got exceptional growling vocals, also exceptional musicians, that's really fine!

I started to like them after I saw a concert which they were supporting Trivium, that was a hell of  concert, anyway They really grew on me after that night. The Amanuensis

The First song that I heard from them was Regenerate, and it was kinda unusual the way I learned about them. This is indeed Monuments, it's not a usual band, it's not only about the songs or the great musicians They are, what these musicians are doing is above and beyond and the new album is this bridge to the evolution, amazing!

I wonder where I've been when these guys released this album (2011), anyway their song got this effect to involve, to evolve.. the more you listening to it the more you get it. Voyager is a band from Australia, I really like everything this band, all set are really very interesting, and Danny really reminds  Nils of PM, in a different way actually, anyway this band is awesome!

Quantum Enigma

I remember I used to listen to Epica and it's been a long time since the last time I heard some material of them. I think since Consign to Oblivion (I got it) I haven't heard anything of them, since I started to listen to Prog (2005), I really quit this kind of music they used to do, but listening to their new album I can really say this is a New Epica. The First song that I've listened was The Essence of Silence, I really can't get enough this song, really devastating! They are really sounding more heavy, Symphonic, Power, the guitars are really poisoned, the growling are great, Simone's really breathtaking, and it really has the effect to push u forward, fucking great masterpiece!

Esoteric Symbolism

I did not know these guys, I've learned about them after Nightmare Records sent me its update. The first song I've listened of them was Punishment by Design which after too many listening I was quite psyched and I was really in need to get that, after Esoteric Symbolism came out, it was the same feeling as well, now after I've listened the entire album I can say how great is that, it's the best that a listener (me) could imagine, heavy, atmospheric, progressive. I think, sometimes Brett sounds like Ian from Karnivool (Esoteric Symbolism), but on a improved way, fucking great!

Circus Pandemönium

Since 2006 without record nothing new, ACT have returned with their amazing Circus Pandemonium. I have to say for myself, it took a few listening for CP clicks, but after that, our ears are rewarded with the most amazing work of these guys which is essential for who likes progressive music, besides it tells us a great dark circus story, fucking awesome!

Chronicles → the Immortals

They are back!
The first time I heard GodMaker I didn't like it too much, but when I listened to entire album I noticed it makes perfect sense. The new album is full of great tunes and great vocals, not only performed by Andy Kuntz but also for a female singer named Julia Steingass, anyway this album is really great, it's also based on a story by author Wolfgang Hohlbein, it's really a conceptual album with terrific arrangements!

An Evening

I couldn't expect too much just paying what I paid...
Anyway.. the evening with Transatlantic was great, it really didn't feel like some songs had more than 30 minutes, it was faster than any concert I've ever been (2:30). Nice to see  Mike Portnoy, Neal Morse, Peter Trewavas and the legendary Roine Stolt, btw, Roine with his voice and guitar, He's totally mind-blowing, I couldn't say less about Neal, Mike, Peter and Ted, btw, Ted is really one who I want to have a signing, the guy is great live. Neal, Peter, Mike are everything we know about them, fucking great musicians and Nice guys, even I'm being a drag, the guys were great. My disappointment is sometimes it's really hard to live in South America, we are kinda apart from rest of the world, usually here if we buy something in Amazon, we have to pay at least 60% taxes over the product, in other worlds, we pay 15 dollars for something, then we pay almost three times more when this product get here, then, we have another way, buying on ebay, but even so, it takes a long time to get here, in other worlds we are kinda fucked, by the government, by the system that sucks! I really would like to get more cds, today I really would like to get Kaleidoscope in my hands but for us who are so far away from a lot of goodies and even we are among the emergents, there a lot of things that doesn't work here, mainly for who likes this kind of music, this kind of art, because what these guys do it's more than music.

in hoping that another time I can grab my kaleidoscope album, without paying too much for the shipment, because that was a fucking great concert!

Kindly Bent to Free Us

Probably many people will be bitching about the new Cynic work, mostly because it has no growling vocals. I could say for myself, I miss it, but even so this album is a fusion of the Aeon Spoke’s lightness with the complexity of Cynic, it’s really tight, with some great jazzy work, haunting atmospheres. I really like the experimental way They create “Infinite Shapes”, that’s really a fucking great work!

Kaleidoscope

The new Transatlantic album is not disappointing and even after so many years of great musical contributions, They are still sounding terrific. I won't say too much about them, mainly cuz I am kinda fan these guys, not only for their contributions with Transatlantic, but for their contributions with their bands, anyway the new album is a masterpiece, highly recommended for who likes prog rock with some old school nuances, great!

I learned about this great guitar player when my YT page indicated me Plini's EP, btw Sweet Nothings is great, but when I heard Sithu Aye work I found it greater. Sometimes I wonder How many great guitar players are popping up it's really magical, it's kinda as someone else said: it's like these guys are born with a 7 string guitar since their mom's womb, that's really terrific!
