Kamelot - Silverthorn: I think I have no more words to express how this album is so fucking great, Go get it!!
Circus Maximus - Nine: no doubt it's the best CM album to date, Heavy, Progressive, Powerful!
Coheed and Cambria - The Afterman: Ascension: I have to say the same about Coheed and Cambria, doubtless the best album of their career.
Cloudscape - New Era: it was a great surprise this year, because I was not thinking that I'd buy my first Cloudscape album.
Adrenaline Mob - Omertà: I think it's really hard to count how many great debut albums you can find around hard rock scenario, well.. They were able to get that, with great riffs, powerful drumming: voice and bass, They've changed the HR history with their Psychosane!
The Flower Kings - Banks of Eden: these guys after so many years together were able to create an album that can bring you so many feelings, it's really a masterpiece that is essential for who likes progressive music.
Hasse Froberg and Musical Companion - Powerplay: I can say that this is one of the most beautiful albums I've heard in my life, these guys are really great musician that bring progressive music to another level.
Spock's Beard - The X Tour: I think it's a remarkable and historic album, not just because the band is tight as always, but it's the last album with Nick D' Virgilio on vocals, so it's a night to remember at all.

Periphery
I have to say, frankly I've never been an enthusiast of some screaming and growling songs, I think my ears started to like them when I knew Cynic - Trace in Air, and even that time I didn't like them very much, but not that I started to listen to them more and more, but it's like something about them had awakened something on me, like someone that You think that you know so well but suddenly You realize You did not know nothing at all, I can say the same about Periphery, I think on November I tried to hear these guys but it was so hard to assimilate, but on December it was like everything made perfect sense, What I could say about this new album is the more you listen to it more you notice how great is that, besides these guys are really fucking great musicians, a fucking great album!!

I heard about DF in 2006, some friend told me, Hey, Have you seen the video through the fire and flames? these guys are awesome, and right away I said, You have to see if these guys are good live, because usually They aren't, and as I said, They were really awful live, but speaking at the present time. I was never a great fan of power metal, I mean only it, usually I'm used to hear a mix of many styles united as one, but after I watched their concert in September, I have to say How great are these guys, and I can not forget to say about their latest album, Power Within is something that really my ears have begun to enjoy...

When I heard the new Kamelot song(Sacrimony) around September, I have to state, it was a great surprise because I was not expecting too much surprises from the new singer, because I already knew him from SW, but after watching some Kamelot performances and listening to their new song, and listening to their new album over and over again, I have to say it left me quite stunned, because Kamelot was able to join many musical styles inside their new album, it's hard to tag it, metal? hard rock? symphonic? power? progressive! it doesn't matter!...

I was wondering How will be this opening track in a concert..and the following track.. omg... it's a New Era for these guys, all band members are to be congratulated for this epic, and also I can't forget to mention Alyssa White Gluz.. this girl really got something more.

I didn’t know this band, and it was a great surprise, because there are few bands that on their first album can sound amazing like these guys. End of September is a metal band with some melodic influences, death vocals, great guitars work and the amazing singer Elin Redin, I really love her voice..

I'm not used to hear instrumental music, there was a time I used to hear Vai, Satriani, these great mainstream names, but How I am always saying no matter How many notes you can picking for second, the most important is put the note on its right place and adding emotion to it, You probably made an atomic bomb that will tear apart any heart. Brian Hunsaker was able to create an incredible album that leads you to another Galaxy, addind great tunes, great atmospheres and with no doubt this guy could be the brand new blood of instrumental music, great!

Kamelot Ascendancy
Like me, most of the Kamelot fans were really disappointed with Roy's departure, it was like there wouldn't be any hope for Kamelot, and like I said once "Kamelot without Roy would be like chocolate without sugar", no fucking way!! but there is hope I was wrong and Kamelot is rising again as in the Roy days. I don't know How, but Tommy sounds like a completely different singer in Kamelot, like He's fitting so perfectly to the songs that Roy used to sing and even on the new song, his voice shape is like Roy! because in Seventh Wonder his voice work was quite different, actually it's a New Era for Kamelot, and What Can we expect from Silverthorn besides the great artwork with a pretty Girl ?, I think that only the best.
Silverthorn is due to come out on October 30

Triviumphant
What was a fucking great gig... the whole set, since the first unknown band (Last Sigh) to Trivium, Holy Fucking SHIT!!! I can say with no shame that Dragonforce was a great surprise, these guys are so nice, besides They are playing so perfect live, then We can forget some old performances that usually can be seen on YouTube, these guys are really great live, but for those who were there to see Trivium could see what is to play strongly, They could be called mighty Trivium, Holy Cow! and I can't forget to mention the crowd, OMG.. and Matt lauded the audience many times during the concert, it was really the best concert of the year so far, thanks DF, thanks Trivium!

After 5 years without any unreleased album, They are back with their fresh Nine album. The first impression that anyone could have listening to Reach Within track, wich was realeased on April, it's easy to hear, it's also kinda pop, but without losing the progressive side, the other songs are more hard to hook u at the first hearing, but after a little while.. OMG!! it would be one of the best progressive albums of this year.. Fuck Yeah!! Heavier than Isolate, progressive, great lyrics, a perfect album that put Circus Maximus among the greatest progressive bands of the scenario...

Spock's Beard The X Tour Live
Yeah.. Hell Yeah! I was not expecting that, but the new Spock's Beard release is great! highlights for the recording that is greatly well done, it's one of those types of album must have for sure, the band playing, whole set, since the digipack, cover, awesome! This was the last Nick D'virgilio album with the band, and one of the most great albums that They've done, I think the dvd is the only limitation, mainly because the audio is not that great, but it's good, and for those who are SB fans like me They will love this masterpiece..
